Karen Vess along with her 3 sisters Dianne McMullen, Susan Pasanen, Linda Hornbeck, and longtime friend and colleague Debbie Sanders, have combined their numerous years of dental experience, education and knowledge to offer this amazing opportunity to all Dental Assistants who deserve to be recognized, and supported, for ALL that they do.

KNOWLEDGE DIVA
Karen Vess

Karen has spent over 35 fabulous years in the Dental profession, first and foremost, as a Clinical Dental Assistant, then as Owner and Instructor of Practical Dental Assisting of VA Beach, LLC. With her successful school, Karen is not only able to teach, educate, and train students, but to also provide them an opportunity to have a professional career in the dental field. By creating The Dental Diva Dynasty along with the other “Divas”, she has created a much needed resource for Dental Assistants to access additional educational courses, gain recognition and support, as well as the opportunity to socialize with their Dental Assisting peers. All of this in a professional group dedicated only to Dental Assistants.

RECOGNITION DIVA
Susanna Pasanen

Susanna brings over 25 years of various Business Management skills, as well as experience in Marketing, Promotions, Fundraising, and Human Resources. Susanna spent many years in marketing positions, mostly with Fortune 500 and high tech firms from Boston to Detroit, to Sarasota, Fl. In addition she has enjoyed a meaningful professional career in the Dental field as a Clinical & Business Dental Assistant.  During this time Susanna recognized that the dedicated men and women who put their heart and soul into the Dental profession were working hard, but for hardly any recognition! It was her opinion that those who loved and excelled in their profession were not getting the proper recognition, raises, and awards that they so deserved.

It is Susanna’s passion to ensure that every amazing Dental Assistant be acknowledged in, and out, of the dental office, understanding just how important their role plays in the success of a practice. It is her belief that by recognizing all the long hours, achy backs and sore necks that Dental Assistants endure, they will be motivated to be at their best, and maintain a love for their career choice of being a professional, Dental Assistant.

SUPPORT DIVA
Debbie Sanders

Debbie brings over 35 years of experience in the Dental Assisting profession. After earning her Associates Degree in Applied Science/Dental Assisting in 1978, she began her career as a Clinical Assistant in a General Dentistry office in Florida. She has also been a Periodontal Assistant, as well as an Administrative Assistant. Her passion for the industry brought her to Practical Dental Assisting of VA Beach to become an instructor and Administrative Assistant with her friend and colleague, Karen Vess. She is an integral part of the “DDD” providing support for Dental Assistants regarding OSHA regulations & procedures, clinical support, financial (salary), decision making, personal and peer relationships, writing resumes, etc.

Linda Hornbeck & Dianne McMullen

Linda and Dianne join Dental Diva Dynasty with 25 exciting and eventful years of experience,  not only in the Dental profession as Clinical and Business Assistants, but in the planning and organizing of many diverse social events for businesses and charity functions from the Orlando, FL area to Atlanta, GA, and now to Hampton Roads.  Linda and Dianne combine their unique experiences in Sales, Marketing and Business Development through Social Media and Dental Networking events to create and bring a sense of Style, Flair and Fun to the Dental Organization.
